Breast Milk Soap

Your breast milk made into creamy, mild soap for your whole family.

The process

  • The milk must be frozen and labeled with your name. 8 ounces of milk will make 9 large bars of soap when combined with skin loving oils. It comprises over 20% of the recipe! Milk can be shipped (insulated with cold packs) or delivered/dropped off.

  • After discussing ingredients with you, I make your soap with selected oils and additives. It is then sliced, beveled, and cured for one week.

  • After a one week cure time here, you receive your bars of soap. Your soap is safe to use at the time, but a minimum 4 week cure time is recommended.

FAQs

  • We do not sell breast milk soap. We provide the service of making soap with your breast milk, and return the soaps to you.

  • I will make your soap within 3 days of receiving your breast milk. The soap needs to saponify (go through the chemical reactions to become soap) for 24-48 hours, and then cure for a minimum of one week before I return your soap to you.

  • Soap is safe to handle and use once saponification is complete, within 48 hours. However, a minimum 4 week cure time is recommended, to have a longer lasting, milder soap with a better lather.

  • It will not. Soap gets better as it ages. Over time the color may change, and some oils may degrade, but the soap will always be soap.

  • Yes! We do require milk be frozen solid prior to shipping, and shipped in an insulated container with cold packs, via priority mail.

  • While soap is new, we recommend storing it open to air, with bars not touching one another, to help the curing process. We recommend placing them on parchment or freezer paper for the first few weeks.

For best results, allow bar to dry fully between uses.
