Hawthorn
DOB: 3/17/2021
Hawthorn and Jasper came to us from a great neighboring farm who are now friends. Sycamore Hill Goats has a barn that is goals for me.
He and Jasper are half brother, sharing the same sire. They were both born on St. Patrick’s Day!
Hawthorn is officially my first goat. When I went to Sycamore Hill to look at and pick out my baby goats, he was the first one I held. He immediately wrapped his neck into mine, giving me that first hug and sealing the deal, though I wasn’t able to bring him home for a few more weeks because they were not yet weaned.
He is charming, and a flirt. Everyone who meets him loves him. He likes to give and receive kisses, though he also likes to burp in your face. If you sit on the goat platform long enough, he is sure to come cuddle with you.
Both boys were shown by our sweet neighbor at the 4H fair the year we got them.
Jasper
DOB: 3/17/2021
Jasper and Hawthorn were a package deal, because goats ALWAYS need another goat friend. They are brothers and besties.
Jasper still gets very stiff, and does occasionally faint. He is our smiler, having learned that showing a toothy grin results in laughs, praise, and more treats.
He is very resourceful, and a problem solver. With goats, that itself can be problematic.
He is sweet, affectionate, and loves pets, but also loves to body block you by stopping and standing sideways if you are trying to walk somewhere. Like I said, he is a problem solver.
Geppetto
Oh sweet baby G. Geppetto shocked us all as the second of Havannah’s quads on February 15, 2024. He was tiny, at 1.6 pounds. Due to the number of kids, and his size, he became a bottle baby at 24 hours old.
We did not plan on adding any more wethers to our herd, but you know how that goes. We quickly fell in love with him and his personality. He knew that though tiny, he had protection and benefits from the humans.
Geppetto Allen Napoleon Robards is a fan favorite. His diminutive size gave him a disadvantage early in life, but he made up for it with sweetness, personality, and fight.
He is sweet to this day, and knows that he is loved. He and Nova are best friends. G is frequently featured in videos on our social media platforms.
